Chapter Higlights

Voter Registration Training conducted June-September, 2023 Get Out the Vote, October 2022; National Night Out August 1, 2023, Kings Fork High School. 

​

Annual "GORed" activity for Heart Month held  February 13, 2023, donated gift bags, and provided a healthy meal to the tenants at the Covenant Place Apartments in Smithfield, VA.  

 

The Chapter participated in the EA Food Bank Drive and collected over 2000 pounds of food for Smithfield at Brown AME church and Suffolk at the Genieve shelter in March 2023.

The National Trends and Services facet is tasked with eliminating disparities by reducing barriers to resources through advocacy, education, and service. Our chapters are empowered to raise their voices and transform the communities in which they work. The facet’s goals include increasing the number of sustainable and measurable programs; increasing collaborative partnerships; and extending our existing initiatives to include communities identified as having the greatest need.
