WELCOME TO OUR WEBSITE

Vicki Wiggins-Pittman

President

Greetings to you on behalf of Suffolk (VA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. We consider ourselves humble servants of one of the oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of women. With tenacity, we strive to strengthen our communities and enhance the nation through friendship, fellowship and service. Our chapter consists of business and civic leaders, role models, mentors, activists and volunteers who work towards a common vision by engaging like-minded organizations and individuals for partnership. Members of our chapter contribute annually to the more than 1 million National documented hours of community service. As Links, we are committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry.

Since our chapter’s inception on October 12, 1985, we have worked passionately to influence a legacy of friendship and service. The noteworthy programming of The Links, Incorporated has five facets which include National Trends and Services, The Arts, Services to Youth, International Trends and Services and Health and Human Services. As we resume our focus on these facets, we will progressively employ the talents and skills of our members to provide wholesome and purposeful service to our community.

With grateful hearts, the Suffolk (VA) Chapter sincerely thanks the connecting Links, heir-o-Links, other individuals, groups, and partners that support the chapter’s various projects and initiatives. Our plan moving forward is to continue the strategic implementation of programming -- public information and education, economic development, public policy campaigns, and the like -- that enriches the lives of those we are honored to serve.
